Project Life Goodness, 2013

Hey friends!

As I have hinted in a few previous posts, I am a scrapbooker, Project Life-r, paper crafter, whatever else. I've been wondering how I can incorporate that more on this space without it becoming a "Craft Blog" (not that I don't love those.)

And then, much to my suprise and delight, I was chosen to be on the 2014 Project Life Creative Team. In a nutshell, that means I'll be sharing my layouts on the website every month and hopefully inspiring people who are new to the whole scrapbooking shebang/looking for new ideas/whatever. Check out the page for more info. If you're into that sort of thing.

Anyway, I thought that was a perfect excuse to start sharing more PL pages right here. Hopefully I will be posting a new layout every week, so keep an eye out in 2014.

So to get the ball rolling here's a culmination of some of my favorite pages from my 2013 book.

A lot of the elements in the pages are a little random, as I was still working out my style. I finally bought a PL kit (Midnight Edition) half-way through the year, which was a total game changer and has made the process that much simpler.

Have you tried or thought about trying Project Life?

  2. I did Project Life for the first time for 2013 and it was tiring trying to keep up with all the weeks and such. But I am glad that now I have something to look back on and see the big and little moments of 2013. Do you have a structure to your pages, such as each page documents a week?

your pages are gorgeous by the way! :)

  3. I'm planning on using just the Midnight edition for 2014. I love the minimalism of it and I need to stop buying digital kits! So using only ONE kit will be a challenge.

  6. Hi! I just started reading your blog a few weeks ago and this post inspired me to comment. I've really been enjoying your writing and now I love love love your Project Life. I'm wrapping up my second year of Project Life right now and I've really enjoyed it thus far. I'm so excited to see more your pages--I love the calm, open style and it's nice to see pages from people who don't have kids (not that there's anything wrong with kids or PLers with kids, I just don't have any so it can be hard to relate--you know?).
Also, I can't help but wonder--do you have any trouble getting your husband in photos? Mine is so resistant and it makes me crazy!

  13. I've thought long and hard about it. I just can't seem to justify it since I've got my "week in the life" halfway done and a second photo book still in my cart on shutterfly.com

For years I scrapbooked and enjoyed... maybe someday again!

Your pages are beyond lovely and I'm so happy that you were chosen to be part of the team. That's a big deal my dear :)

  15. These look great! I bought a PL kit last January with high hopes of cataloging 2013, but that didn't happen with the final craziness of my senior year and moving across the country... so I'm hoping to back-track and capture these last few months in Seattle. Thanks for sharing, it's extra inspiration and i love your style!
