who i want to be

Obviously this was taken months ago. When I was "tan" (aka looked like I belong to the land of the living).

I want to be the type of person...

who knows my neighbors. And bakes them stuff.

who keeps houseplants alive.

who aks about others instead of always rattling off about myself.

who winks at people. But in a friendly, non-creepy way...maybe this is a bad idea.

who buys flowers at the grocery store.

who talks more to God than she talks about Him.

who wears an apron when she cooks.

who cooks, period.

who compliments strangers.

who wears heels to the grocery store. (Okay, so maybe I already do that). I just want to be a Stepford wife, really. Or June Cleaver. I would not have survived the feminist movement.

who uses her workout clothes for, oh, I don't know, working out.

who knows how to interact with babies. Other than just smiling awkwardly and being all, "How's it going?" like they really know.

who uses coasters.

I totally agree with you on wanting to be someone who asks about others instead of always talking about myself. As well as someone who talks to God more than she talks about Him!!!

  5. I LOVE this post!! I've always wanted to be the type of person who bakes and brings over treats to my neighbors! and I have some really cute aprons that I only wear about 10% of the time that I'm cooking! And I really need to learn to talk less and listen more!

  7. I'm totally with you on wanting to know my neighbors and bake them stuff! I was just thinking today that I should make my neighbor some homemade buns. So many good things on this list! Other than the heels to the grocery store, I don't think I could pull that off. :)

  8. Yes - neighbor gifts! We're moving to a new neighborhood next month and I'm already planning a little "Hi, we're new, please be our friends" type of gift :)
