we have a home

Completely irrelevant picture of a seashell. You know how it is.

We went apartment hunting a few days ago. The weather was cold and rainy and you'd better believe I took advantage of all the free hot beverages the tour guides offered us. But, miserable weather aside, we were ecstatic to be there. After just a few tours, we finally found our dream apartment (minutes away from multiple coffee houses! and, of course, the church.)

It's cute and suprisingly spacious. The little balcony off the living room overlooks a forest and the walking trail around the pond which just about kills me. I plan on eating breakfast out there every Saturday morning, sipping tea in my pink pajamas and catching overly sentimental thoughts in my journal.

This was the first time we've picked out a home together and our first major decision as a couple. I love it. We're really married, really adults, really signing all these papers! It's great.

We fell even more in love with the town on this last trip. We had extra time to just drive around, pop in and out of little shops, run into people we'd met at the church. Everything about this move feels like one big adventure, more so than any other place I've moved, and I can't help but feel that something really great is going to happen in little Apex, North Carolina. God has truly guided us here.

I'm overwhelmed in the best way. Good things are coming.
